Just saw this on Facebook and thought I would share:

The new rules of the Indonesian Embassy in Kuala lumpur malaysia for submission to get a visa index 211 (social and cultural), for whom a personal sponsor for foreign tourist in required to send the following data to, visa@brikualalumpur.org1. The sponsor must submit the last 3 months bank statement
2. The need to send the data is in foreign tourist, sponsored
3.sponsor should state the phone number in a letter of sponsorship
4.mengirimkan TIN (personal tax)
if the sponsor does not complete the requirements for a visa for foreigners 211 index will not serve

Credit to Rolly Visa for the info: Visa For Bali | Rolly

Good question. I just read enough which would make most people cancel any plans to go to KL and just use an agent in Singapore.

It could be a sign of things to come though. How much would a sponsor need in their bank account for the visa to be accepted? Any how many would be willing to provide details of their tax records?

KL is really making it very difficult. If I remember correctly, Markit's wife applied for sosbud in KL and they only gave 30 days (instead of 60), so she was nearly caught out with overstay fees.

Did I read right... You need to send 3 months bank statements of your sponsor?
Pushing the relationship I would think.
How do you know your information is safe, has arrived and accepted?
Still can't understand why the hard like only in KL.

KL = Don't bother
