Me and the family really like going down to the beach in Sanur but we're not too keen to walk very far.

I can always get a park here, at Jalan Duyung:

I can sometimes get a park in Jalan Pantai Sindhu, if it's quiet:

and a couple of times we've parked at Hardy's, done a bit of shopping inside then walked to a restaurant nearby (although, I think this is frowned upon by the parking attendants).

Does anyone know of any other reliable car parking spots in Sanur? I don't mind paying.

Opposite Hardy's more or less is now an open space parking lot. Haven't used it yet but noticed it. No hard surface, sand and a bit of grass so IF the rain comes..... say no more.

Go on down to No.ideas place, park there, drink his free beer and then toodle of on a 2min walk to the great and largely deserted Mertasari (sp) beach in south Sanur.

Try -8.686752,115.263915. There is some parking behind what used to be Bonsai Cafe. You then have to walk through that restaurant to the beach - and I think there is a sign to discourage you. But if that worries you then you can eat at that restaurant which has tables on the beach.

Pantai Mertasari, but gets very crowded on Sundays. Lots of parking and general mahem...fascinating.

Pantai Sindhu. About 50 metres off the main street (across from Jimmy's), immediately next to a small hairdresser, is a large block of empty land. Can park there. About 5 minutes walk to the beach.

Pantai Sumuwang (turn left (East) at the small roundabout at Jalan Danau Poso into Jl Jusuma Sari - large parking area down the bottom on the right).

Just after Manik Organik on your left, going South, is a small entrance to big empty land which ends at the beach (and a small warung).
Parking near the old Bonsai Cafe is usually OK - never had a problem walking through the restaurant to get to the beach.

Car access to Sindhu and Sumuwang is closed on Sundays.
