Everyone speaks Bahasa Indonesia. It is an easy language to learn so that would be my recommendation. I have a BI teacher who comes to my house once a week but I am a beginner and still cannot yet speak BI. I'm looking forward to the day when I can communicate freely in BI.

Hi everybody, I was wondering if anyone knows where one can learn Bahasa Bali (yang halus)? I'd prefer one-one teaching but if I'd have to go back to some school-form of teaching (class-room) is also ok. I know it's a longshot, but realy want to learn it, so if anyone has some sugestions, they...

I have almost finished a 4-week course in Bahasa Indonesia at IAlF - Jl Raya Sestan 190, Denpasar. It was very comprehensive but I am finding it difficult to understand native speakers, unless they speak really slowly, though I now know a lot of words and can put sentences together (I think LOL). Can pick up the odd word here and there. I don't get much opportunity to hear people speaking BI as most now speak English. Any suggestions.
The Learning Indonesian course is a great place to start.
