Work on the Ngurah Rai airport expansion is now complete, and as of tomorrow, international arrivals will be processed in the new terminal according to general Manager, Purwanto.
“International arrivals will be moved to the ground floor of the new terminal tomorrow,” he explained yesterday.
Outlining the facilities, he said there will be additional baggage claim areas, more counters for visas on arrival, 26 immigration counters and expanded customs facilities.
Advanced technology for baggage handling and electronic check-ins are also featured.
The new terminal will be able to handle the growing number of visitors expected, with Bali experiencing a 6% increase in arrivals in the last twelve month period.
