I would love to hear feedback on weather you think Bali is safe for our one and three year old children; we are thinking of spending Nov/Dec this year there?
    Thanks very much

Best to check with your home countys specialist. In New York my Dr sent me to a specialist to go over my perminute travel plan.

What our resident grammar specialist is trying to say in his "special" way is that in American we get a per minute travel consultation from our doctors - ie we tell them what ever minute of our time will be spent doing and they work out a plan on how we can survive that. When looked at that way US health isn't really very expensive now is it?

For your kids - get them the normal jabs that they should have at that age and some extra tetanus, possibly throw in yellow fever and typhoid (although don't know anyone that's had it after 7 years - but I only associate with clean people and dogs). Speaking of dogs go for the Rabies shots and bring a batch of good Tylenol and/or Paracetamol with creams for the various skin maladies that occur in the tropics. Forget anything for Malaria (we don't have it) and Dengue Fever (nothing available against it). If you go to your doctor or tropical medical institute they will give you and yours anything and everything they can think of cause they all play CYA(cover your ass) so their attitude is give it to em, just in case. In reality there isn't much disease here to worry about. Bring lots of condoms for the little ones as the Balinese balloons break real easy when you blow them up.

That consultation will only cost you a moderate sized Parmesan cheese, thank you :O) and have a nice day.

    Dr. Markit

From my past experience, make sure to bring LOTS of potatoes: remember what happened to lots of Irish, many years ago: potato famine.
