I confess I never thought Indonesians, in general, had a succinct sense of humor...watch local TV and see they laugh as children do.
Anyway, this morning I went to Siloam to have my annual medical check-up. The pretty nurse explained in good English '"Sir, this is the ECG part of the test...it will not hurt...we put a small electrical impulse thru' your body and these sensors detect your blood flows".
I enquired is it ECG or EKG...she replied that it could be either as it meant Electro-Cardio-Graph.
Of course I knew all this having had dozens before but, being a smart alick, I asked "So, it isn't an execution?"
She replied...."Oh! no sir...for that you need to make an appointment to Nusa Kambangan in Java...we don't do that in Bali"...and smirked....ME...:black_eyed:
