I know it has been discussed a couple of times already, but it seems like most ISPs will be shutting down their internet service for Nyepi.
Only yesterday my wife asked at the Telkom office and they said it would be operational. And today they have said it will be shutdown completely.
Indihome for me is pretty reliable, but yesterday evening it was on and off all night.
No one was picking up on the support line. My wife's friends in Sumatra were also having trouble (have no idea if it was related)
I guess some kind of trouble due to the heavy storms. Anyone know what may...
I am with Telkomsel, but always find it very confusing when buying extra data on the phone when dealing the standard *363# routine.
Apart from it all bing in Bahasa, the deals seem to be very different every time and include really strange extras. Other hard thing to know is how long the data...
Does anyone currently (or previously) use CBN for their internet?
Currently we have IndiHome on a 20MB connection, but will be moving to new villa next month and thinking of changing. IndiHome is okay, but we don't make use of the home phone or TV much so looking for alternative...
Had a problem with our home internet the other day so I thought no problem just buy some package for my phone and use tethering.
2GB sounds a lot especially if you are not downloading any big files. I was surprised though that it was gone by the next day. Paid just over 100,000 so not a cheap...
About 2310hrs Bali time I was settling in for sleep and had just turned out the lights when everything started to rock here in Ubud.
It lasted less than 30 seconds but felt like 2 minutes. It was a good shake, good enough to convince me to get outside my humble abode.
Bali rocks! :)
Just read on another forum that the Constitutional Court today have overturned a part of the law and will permit post-nup agreements, therefore allowing mixed marriage WNI spouses to own hak milik property.
This is hearsay so if anyone can find the readings from the court I'm sure it will be...

When(not if) I build again here in Bali it will look like this:

The first thing that strikes you about would-be jihadist Teuku Akbar Maulana is how ordinary he is.
This is a pimply teenager who plays badminton and loves his mum, not one of the black-clad, scowling, AK-47-toting Islamic State fighters who stalk the internet.
Author, activist and former...
We've had Telkom cable TV for about four years and it's been just OK. The picture went blank yesterday and no-one answers the phone. My wife will go to the office tomorrow but meanwhile I'd ask members for opinion on a better service (I live in Kerobokan).
We get CBN fiber TV (Dens TV) included...
There are plenty of e-commerce companies trying to crack open the Indonesian market, like Tokopedia, Matahari Mall and Lazada. But none of them have quite managed to catch on the way e-commerce giant Amazon has hooked Americans onto their online shopping services.
But now it looks like the...
The wi-fi part spat the dummy late last week on my system. Suddenly, totally out of the blue. Zilch. I wasted time trying to figure out what happened and concluded there was a central problem at Telkom's Bali end, but wasn't 100% sure. (The main internet was OK.)
Rang the 147 number several...
