Business Visa - out and back in a day?

I've got a multi-entry business visa which is valid valid for a year. The restrictions are that I cant stay in Indonesia for longer than 60 days at a time. Previously when I've exited I've always been away for several days before returning. As I don't have any business trips in the short term I'm wondering if I can exit and return in the same day?, ie return flight to Singapore, and thus getting myself another 60 days before exiting again. Or is it necessary to stay away overnight? Any thoughts would be welcomed!

No personal experience, but I believe you can do it the same day. Some agents may offer you to do it without exiting the country, but I wouldn't recommend this.

I've done that a couple of times on a multi-entry Sosbud visa...similar restrictions as the multi-entry business visa. Jkt-KL in the morning grab a duty-free bottle and Kl-Jkt in theafternoon for another 60 days. It seems a waste that the gov't don't have a system to check-out of the airport Immigration then go downstairs with an officer then check-in again.

Please let us know how it worked. BTW Although it would appear that Singapore should be the best choice I found that KL flights were actually cheaper overall due to Singapore's airport fee/tax added to the flight price.

yes but you are sitting one hour longer in the plane (30/30) and the trip into the city with MRT is better / cheaper too... I'm just back from S / currently on a multiple business visa too, lunch and back with Garuda. Was way wetter than Air Asia.

I'd heard that some airlines had showers on-board but interesting Garuda has changed from their squat toilets...that's progress. Just kidding sakumabali,,,thanks for your update. Like I said there are pluses and minuses on any given day...best to check according to personal requirements...including the price of duty-free booze to bring back...:icon_e_biggrin:

yep true....no I didn't mean drinks (if you can call that a "drink" they gave me, some awful sugar orange flavored stuff) It's more leg space and a better quality feeling ohh haha you are right I meant [B]better[/B] of course, my german keyboard sometimes goes nuts ;)

Booked on a Garuda flight to Singapore. The cost is 170k which was better than I could find for a flight to KL on the day I wanted to go, although KL did appeal - as you say, Davita, the duty free is pretty good price in KL, but the shorter flight and the better cost swung it. for my final couple of months in this past of the world I'm thinking of spending 2 or 3 weeks in Flores, and similar time over in Cambodia, then a final two weeks in Bali before returning to the UK. Any must see's or do' in Flores? Anything to beware of?

As Davita points out to me, I got this in the wrong place but don't know how to fix it. I thought I was responding to a post where someone (was it geedee?) was planning a few weeks in Flores. I cannot find that post now so am confused.

Both times we flew into Maurmere and flew out of Labuan Bajo. On the second trip we spent time in Sumba as well.

I have done the road trip from Maumere to Labuan Bajo twice now. The second time we varied the details and stopovers a bit. But both times really enjoyed it and will be happy to go back for a third time one of these days. We got many photos but I give just one from the first trip. Kelemutu is the mountain with 3 crater lakes of different colors. Near Kelemutu is the town of Moni with hotels, restaurants and a market. Not far from Moni is the traditional village of Wologai Tengah, and we happened there when there was a big ceremony. In this pic, Sonia is on the left and she is a member of our party. She is holding an iPhone as she communicates (or at least tries to) with an old lady of the village who maybe had little Bahasa Indonesia. The people behind have the sarongs typical of that area. They are thick and blanket like because it can get cold at this altitude. The ends are joined so it is a big cylinder - can be worn as a typical sarong, or over the shoulder, or over the head like a shawl. The date was Sept 9, 2012. [ATTACH]2731.vB[/ATTACH]
