Off the top of my head I'd think that airfares SYD-TYO vv were much cheaper and available than DPS-TYO vv. I'm aware that personal circumstances will prevail but suggest the above be considered.

Thanks for pointing this out appreciate it Had a look Jetstar they have sale on Syd -Japan about $550 return for the dates but not direct best is 12.5 hrs worst about 16 hours plus baggage seat cost, meals etc etc Japan Airlines are best direct at $890 return. BALI - Osaka returning Tokyo - Bali on Garuda is approx $550 . Garuda total fare $1150 for SYD - DPS DPS - ITM (osaka) TYO - DPS DPS - SYD Then wife can see Japan and I can have Bali before and after At this stage this suits us. I just need to leave some luggage in Bali dont want to lug to Japan hopefully my rich Uncle Ron from Sanur will look after it or my grumpy friend from the East payable by cheese
