Has anyone had any successful experience with a lawyer in Ubud? Am seeking a lawyer, not a notaris, and can find nothing in or near Ubud in previous posts. Thanks

Lawyers are not regency bound like Notaries. If you need a good one (oxymoron when talking lawyer?) that has a good track record with Immigration stuff - pm me.

That isn't the situation. I need a local Ubud lawyer for other (logistic) reasons.

Don't know any lawyer actually practicing in Ubud but a search shows Bali-Mode (my visa agent) has an office in Ubud and they have lawyers on staff. We were counselled by a Bali-Mode lawyer, in their Legian office, when my wife needed legal advice (outside of visa concerns). Maybe Bali-Mode employs, or has access to, lawyers in Ubud.

I remember that several months ago in one of the threads concerning land "ownership"/leasing a contributor seemed extremely well versed in Indonesian law. It was in regard to some battles in the Indonesian court system but I think he was in Jakarta, though I might be wrong about that. You might be able to find that thread and make contact for a recommendation.
