Nydave wroteThey have something similar to those cables in Korea, they use them to guide buses along, and of course they have similar in big warehouses such as Amazon distribution centers, where the robots are guided by imaginary lines on the ground,in some cases there are actual lines on the floor, but if you read about how self drive cars navigate it doesn`t seem like any of these systems are in play,
I'm aware that those self-drive cars are GPS located but the cable idea appeals to me as more reliable on an interstate. They would also have to use constant speed, like my old Cadillac, which really saved on gas.
I used to envision driving in the city and, if wanting to go long distance, drive onto a train and getting off at the other end...much like the Channel tunnel train service.
