Have you seen my son, Dylan Martin, 6 years old. Last seen November 15 2015. Please call me on 081246378002 if you know anything related to this

Any luck with going to the Police? I can't remember any specifics but I think there's been a few cases where they've been able to track down kids within days of them being reported missing.

Four months is a very long time to be missing.
Whilst I can understand that you must be extremely stressed about this, you didn't mention from where he went missing, (a fairly basic requirement if you really think that somebody on this forum may have spotted him).
I hope this doesn't turn out to be a tragedy and wish you all the best.
mikebali2
He was last seen on November 15th at Lotte Mart on Sanur Bypass
Hopefully I will be able to supply more information shortly
mikebali2
Yes the Police are assisting as are Immigration, Interpol and Australian Embassies around South East Asia
JohnnyCool
mikebali2 - I don't think that discussing your son's disappearance on this (or any other) public web forum is appropriate.
Of course, somebody would have seen Dylan in Lotte Mart on that Sunday last November.
That Indonesian police, immigration, Interpol and Australian Embassies are assisting you suggests there may be undisclosed factors involved with his disappearance still being investigated.
For example: what nationality is the boy's mother, where is she now, etc?
Airing that kind of information on a public forum is probably counter-productive. I hope I'm wrong.

If the poster thinks the child may be circulating in the Expat community here on Bali I can't see how asking here is going to affect that badly?
What may be of concern is that the poster does not first have to prove his or her right to this information. So perhaps if he/she gave the name of an official that was in charge of the case any reported sightings could be forwarded to them first.

I don't mind him discussing it on the forum, but it's pretty obvious that the boy is being hidden by his mother. That's not really a missing person, that's a custody dispute.
Good luck to you anyway MikeBali2, I can't imagine what'd it be like to be separated from my kid for that long.

Given the physical size of Lotte Mart, one could be forgiven for thinking it might have some CCTV cameras.
On the other hand, given that it runs its air-cons on the lowest possible settings imaginable, nobody should be surprised.
Yes they have some "security" personnel. Like the guy who says hello to you when you walk in. Or the three or four guys in the security booth who issue you a (free) piece of paper with your car/bike rego number on it that you give back on your way out (presumably to prove you didn't steal a vehicle).
I know this might be in bad taste but maybe they should issue tickets for children in case they get stolen. Sorry - it's the whisk(e)y talking.

And this is "obvious" how, exactly?
The only obvious thing in this matter, to my way of thinking, is that a kid's gone missing for about four months.
Presumably, nobody knows why or how yet.
Unfortunately, it reminds me of the Engeline case in Sanur.
I sure hope this is not a repeat of that.

JohnnyCool wroteDenpasarHouse: And this is "obvious" how, exactly?
Simple. Because a genuinely missing child is HUGE news. There's no way that this would be the first we'd heard about it. The reason we haven't heard about it is that it's really the mother who's hiding the child and therefore the child isn't really missing, it's a custody dispute.
Doesn't mean I don't have sympathy for the guy, though.
JohnnyCool
You might be right or you might be wrong. Who really knows?
To reiterate:
The reason we haven't heard about it is that it's really the mother who's hiding the child and therefore the child isn't really missing, it's a custody dispute.
You "know" this how?

Well, I obviously don't "know". I don't claim omniscience. This is an Internet discussion forum, not an academic treatise.

I agree that it's obviously a custody case gone wrong, hence my suggestion to make all reports to the responsible official looking into the case (because we don't know the details of the case - maybe the mother has custody and papa wants to do a snatch, just saying...?).
That remained without answer.
Any parent missing a child ala Engaline is going to use all avenues to find that child.
My sympathies are with all the individuals involved in this awful situation. But a public forum really isn't the place to search.
That said, good luck!

We don't know the facts but I believe if it was me I would search everywhere including forums all you need is one break and when you are desperate and love the kid
you would do anything.
