Hi Everyone,
I'm a new member and was wondering if anyone can give me a heads up on a really great tattooist in Kuta that are a good & fair prices with clean salons.
We will be in Bali for all of August and I would like to get a few more tats done.
Cheers

If you are on facebook, look out for the group "bali bogans". The question comes up every other day and people give lots of recommendations and advice for tattoo places (especially in Kuta and surrounds), including lots of pics.

I can't personally attest as I'm not a fan of tatt's but my best mate is smothered head to toe in them (he was married to a tattoo artist for several years too so was a human canvas for a while). He has had nothing but great things to say about Mr Liack Bali Tattoo (Wayan Batu) for new tatt's and repair job's/cover ups. Google and you should find heaps of info about him and his location.

I only hope the person selected can spell Tattoo...unlike the title to this thread. Tattoos are very difficult to delete or correct....I'm told. I considered a tattoo to cover the scar on my belly, from recent surgery, but when told tattooists are not allowed to give an anesthetic I changed my mind. OK, I confess...when it comes to the thought of pain I'm a wimp.

I think the most important thing you look for besides an artist's talent is if the shop is clean, very clean. They use on new sealed needles and disposable tubes and grips. Keep in mind you'll have to stay out of the water for a period after getting inked about 10 days. A fresh tat is an open wound, you'll need to be able to clean them 2 to 4 times a day and out of the sun until healed. If you wouldn't drink the water out of the tap in Bali, don't put the same water on your fresh ink.
