they (bali & indo government) must make up their mind - either allowing higher buildings and investing heavily in infrastructure and PARKS with TREES or half bali soon looks like this Renon/Seminyak/Kuta whatever Moloch...
sakumabali, it is funny how opinions can change, I remember the first few years I was at the beginning living in Bali I didn't like much Nusa Dua Area and wouldn't recommend my friends to stay there, because usually we used to say that was not Bali or the real Bali, after all these years and see how there is villas everywhere and growing up like mushrooms and spread up every where taking all the ricefields away, I wish people stay at Nusa Dua hotels and going out to see ¨the real Bali¨and not been touch the way has been touch.
Better to stay in Nusa Dua and go out and have chances to see a more traditional Bali than what is happening now, where the tradtional bali in tourists areas is gone day by day.
I rather to see a couple complex like Nusa Dua and keep the rice fields!!!! at least will be not so many areas or rice fields and beautiful breathtaking vegetation ruined.
How much is too much? there is a facebook page I was so shock the first time I saw it, constructions going everywhere, anywhere.................not stop, more and more..............
So easy these days as well to rent land, make a villa and rent it trough internet, website, booking dot com and airbnb.............what I don´t really understand is how hotels don´t complain about the competition from all the villas or private houses people rent and make them I guess to have less clients isn´t it? or there is clients for everybody?
