surfmore2356 So I am beginning work at a surf camp as a manager with a kitas... I worked for them in the beginning of the year as a surf guide and made 5million per month (plus 2 mil with good guest feedback) this was hard work, but with weekends off. With management I will be earning 12mil per month, food included but no rent. I met a kiwi lady here who informed me I should be making minimum 20 mil per month plus accomidation. I'm just looking for advice/tips and any words of wisdom. Thank you
Fred2 The first thing is not to tell everyone you worked in Indonesia illegally. What is there offer and what are you prepared to work for? Most people get insurance, 13 months pay, an amount towards your accommodation , return airfares, all cost for visa, salary 15-45 mil, +++ I know a chef that starts at lunch goes home for 4 hours then goes back at 7 for dinner till late. Teaches that start at 7 and finish at 1. Depends on what you agree on.
Markit This is all very well but there are jobs and then there's work. What you get paid for any job in the world is a function of how hard the job is and how many people are standing in line/able to do it, to the satisfaction of "Joe Normal" and your bosses. Surfing as job? Get the feck outa here!! Getting paid to surf? Get the feck outa here??? My sage advise: if you have found someone stupid enough to give you money for what you would be doing anyway - get stuck in!!!
geedee surfmore2356 wroteThanks for that, yeah just wanted to hear the average of what others make. Hang around you will get lots more opinions and feedback.
surfmore2356 Haha yeah it will be a bit more looking over the guides, teach them to drive, hire /fire , hold meetings give presentations look after guests etc. Nothing like the guiding, but I get your point, there are worse jobs. Was just curious as to what others wages were that's all. Thank you though.
