davita from the same source as spicy.... "That times are changing in Bali tourism is demonstrated that for the first time in the Island’s history the People’s Republic of China (PRC) has moved into the lead position among source markets with 189,594 Mainland Chinese visiting in January-February 2016, followed by the former leader Australia with 154,892 visitors in the same period. With respective market shares of 26.09% and 21.32%, the PRC and Australia markets represent 47.4% of all foreign tourist arrivals to Indonesia." I've certainly seen this trend in Discovery Mall, Krisna T-shirt outlet and the faces peering out of tourist buses. People my wife knows in the tourism business say they don't spend like Ozzies....maybe the bars/restaurants will lose custom but dim-sum places will do a roaring trade. I think we may see all western-style public toilets being converted to squat. Last visit to Thailand I saw a bunch of mainland Chinese come from the beach and wash their sandy feet in the pool.
