It surely is a good sign for the betterment of Australian/Indonesian relationship but I wonder how practical....I'd wait to hear what the OZ trade unions think about this idea. I also read that Australia is gearing up for a general election so ideas like this may go to the back-burner.

The US has it's Mexicans and now Oz. It's worked out well in America with the Spanish language due to overtake English this year as dominate language so Oz start polishing up your Bahasa Indonesia. Geedee you and the missus can be the Welcome Wagon for all those new arrivals - I know how the Ozzies just love having foreigners come help (NOT!).
