Celestial event today. Providing clear skies at your location at 12:30 the sun will transit at an altitude of about 89.9 degrees. This means any fool standing in the direct sunlight will effectively cast no shadow other than their girth. Being from northern latitudes I find this interesting. Most of you won't give a feck :icon_eek:.

Well Sherm, I thought it was an interesting post. I even went out at 12:30 pm to see for myself, however there was too much cloud cover to cast any shadows. :icon_sad:

I won't ever forget the full eclipse of the sun I saw about 20 years ago in the Alps - everything went dark, the birds stopped tweeting and it got cold! Very weird!

They should have been heading to central west Sulawesi. The village of Tanjung Karang 30 kilometres from the equator is the place to go. The small point is my personal problem but let us keep that a secret.
