I like random facts that I come across. So I am going to start sharing some as I come across them. I will start with a few today and add more as I come across them. The fingerprints of koala bears are virtually indistinguishable from those of humans, so much so that they can be easily confused at a crime scene. Only one person in two billion will live to be 116 or older. A duck’s quack doesn’t echo, and no one knows why. Prince Charles is an avid collector of toilet seats. Simplistic passwords contribute to over 80% of all computer password break-ins. Thirty-five percent of people who use personal ads for dating are already married. February 1865 is the only month in recorded history not to have a full moon. More to come later.

Nah, yeah, good! You got it all wrong 'pissinginthewind'. I'll take the koala for its fingerprints to throw the 'wallaby bobs' of me trail. Besides I'll take one of the stoned koalas from over the Grommet Line instead. There's a reason they chew on gum leaves all day long.

I can actually imagine the duck thing working. If you know anything about harmonics then you will understand that if the reflected sound wave exactly mirrored the original wave but at 180 degrees advanced then you would hear nothing - they would cancel each other out. But what do I know?

That's like telling Rocky Balboa when Apollo Creed punches you, and you punch him the same, then it's like nothing happened. Sorry. That does not wash with me. I think a duck's quack has a certain sound. That's it. Sound waves have weight and, therefore, gravity, AFAIK.

Markit is absolutely correct. One can eliminate, or at least mitigate, extraneous noise by creating an anti-phase noise of similar but opposite phase. That's how all noise-cancelling headphones work. They measure the extraneous noise and produce an anti-phase harmonic which then only allows the noise that one wishes to hear. This was taught in physics since I went to school with Pythagoras. The same principle is applied in our grid electrical systems where phase transformers are used to eliminate power factor correction caused by frequency harmonic inefficiencies....but that's deeper knowledge that what I learned 'cribbing' from Pythagoras. My wife taught me that....:icon_e_biggrin:

Facts Australia has more than double the amount of sheep New Zealand has.(we just don't have sexual relations with them) Glasgow Celtic were the first British team to win the European cup and all of the players were local,born and lived within 30 miles of the stadium this is one from school not true If every Chinese person jumped 3ft in the air and landed at the same time it would create a tidal wave which would flood the west coast of America However its a fact that if they did it in the one spot it would create a very minor earthquake

Its actually a fact that Beijing pollution levels have dropped dramatically in the last couple of years Partially due to some app which was released and so people can now measure it without relying on on Government lies.

Simpson, Craig, Gemmill, Murdoch, McNeil, Clark, Johnston, Wallace, Chalmers, Auld, Lennox. I didn't need to Google that, I know it off by heart. The best club football team that ever walked the earth, managed by the Scottish legend Jock Stein RIP. The only non-Glaswegian was Bobby Lennox - he came from Saltcoats. I still remember watching the final on B&W TV, and being mesmerised as Jinky ran rings around those Italians (even though I am Italian descent, I identify as Scottish). What happened to Scottish football after that? Can't even qualify for Euro 2016. I have my theories, but won't bore everybody with them. Oh flower of Scotland.......
