I don't really know the answer to your question, but maybe make an appointment with a doctor or specialist here who can recommend equivalent medication here, or even if it is available.

Bridging the gap from the Siloam thread I will do so by asking about O.S. prescribed drugs that might be bought in Bali.
I have a need to re-supply myself with some prescription drugs in the next couple of months.
Can anyone advise me as to a pharmacy might be able to assist me? I'm in Ubud but can travel.
I have copies of the various prescriptions, a letter from my long time doctor in Australia along with some technical doctor jargon.
Would I be better off waiting until I go to Singapore or is it just more simple to go to a chemist in Bali and pay whatever?
Do I need an Indonesian Doctor to write a prescription after checking my Oz bona fides or are some drugs simply available 'over the counter' in pharmacies here in Bali?
Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

Actually, prescription drugs are difficult to get in Bali.....and can be expensive.
Most of the larger pharmacies in Bali like Guardian, Century and my fav Apotik Primia Farma have doctors on-site in the pharmacy. They will tell you if they have your required prescription in stock, or where to get. Sometimes the prescription name changes here and often a generic is offered.
If the Apotik doc has to re-prescribe you might have a small fee...usually Rp50,000 on top.

They don't have squat in Bali, and also couldn't get aspirin in S'pore equivalent to US. One exception is atenolol which can be obtained in Denpasar at the apotek by the small bridge as you approach Tiara Dewata from the large pasar. Can't guarantee the dosage available, but can get a doctor at kimia farm on jl.Diponegaro if required.

Go to Kimia Farma, take the packets from OS. They will sometimes offer generic brands so to have some knowledge of the active ingredients may help.
