Australia used to have a good name as a just and enlightened country. Where did that all go?
Oh yeah, says who? You? God you talk ****.
And 'their refugees'? Sorry, when you have transited through perfectly safe countries (muslim countries, no less) with the sole intention of taking advantage of a superior social support structure you are not a refugee. Why aren't they Indonesia's refugees? Or Malaysia's refugee's? Just a way of chasing out the snakes from the tall grass. The genuine refugees will still want to come, no matter what. The fraudster economic migrants (the ones that conveniently lose their documents before arriving), knowing they probably won't get anywhere near Aussie soil, hopefully think twice.
I'm proud as punch of my Government in recent times and it would seem so are the majority of Australians, going by recent polling. And I am sure the majority of us will have little sympathy for the fate of any drug smuggler or organised crime figure no matter what Indonesia does to them (nor any spite at Indonesia's actions). If that involves a bit of Dirty Pool on behalf of the AFP to ensure a just penalty for these scumbags, then good on them, I say.
