So when i dont write absolutely correct you make a point of it?
I didn't make the point....urban dictionary did. I'm just the messenger....'Don't shoot the messenger'.
Get a life... Go out sometimes.
That's a personal insult...you don't even know me...did I personally insult you? If so...I apologise.
Not everyone on this forum has english as their main languages... I can speak some indonesian 2... swedish, danish, german. Not so good at writing.
Congratulations on your language talents. You accuse me of not having humor but that isn't a surprise as I only have two language skills...English and Rubbish. The latter.... I'm very adept.:icon_e_biggrin:

I have a shallow water well and PDAM. Well is almost dry but PDAM still going good (with a pressure pump).
Begonia can you get connected to PDAM where you live? Not the fastest solution but maybe a good back-up for next season.

She can answer herself but is usually otherwise busy so pardon my addition: Her house/compound is really middle in Ubud downtown. If you head down the main drag towards Hanuman her place is 50 meters north. Point being she must have PDAM access as all of Ubud town does. Doesn't it?

@Post #26
I'd be interested to know what the problem was as your well was obviously not dry.
I'm interested because my neighbor, who leaves his villa vacant, had a new well drilled last week. I guess I use the same water table as he so I was worried about my own supply but it appears, due to lack of use, his jetpump end had jammed with mud that had hardened like cement and got blocked.

Bali's Water Crisis // College of Science // University of Notre Dame
we've known for at least 15 years that water use and sustainability is a serious issue- just google Bali water crisis
Markit
Read the Notre Dame stuff and can't help but wonder if they even came to Bali to do it.
Particularly this line "The convenience that these units can provide is substantial, providing clean water to urban and rural areas that have had to before walk miles to the nearest water source."
Does anyone here know of anywhere on Bali where this is the case?
I also wonder why if they are so fecking smart they can't sort out California's water problems? Or Arizona's or New Mexico?

There is no doubt that Bali, a unique island, is devoid of water catchment and indeed electricity, as observed in another thread.
No amount of logic seems to make them think to do anything to make the system better. They rely on the GODS.
As expats, myself included, who had some 4 hour electrical outage since midday today I suggest... don't complain...take action.
Against all my techno and green attitude.....I'm buying a polluting petrol-engined generator and connecting to my sump water pump.....to hell with the neighbors.
