Free four wild dolphins contained in a tiny pool at Wake Bali Adventure
There is an adventure park on the beach containing a small pool, 10m x 20 m, about 400 metres, south of Komune Resort and the famous Keramas surf break, housing 4 dolphins in
chlorinated water (a genius figured that one out!), for tourists to swim and play with.
A similar dolphin facility was closed down 2 years ago by the Minister of Forestry, Zulkifli Hasan, with a pledge to close any other dolphin attraction sites.
After initial protests when the Indonesian owned, Wake Bali Adventure Park opened last July, the resort still remains open (what so unusual, this is Indonesia!) and the dolphins remain trapped in a tiny chlorinated pool.
This is a request for Wake Bali Adventure Park to free the dolphins and allow them to be re-introduced into the wild, where they belong.
Please note that there are NO dolphins in the pool at Komune Bali Resort at Keramas and Komune’s owners Tony Cannon and Luke Egan are both surfers and actively support organisations protecting marine mammals.
Also note, these dolphins can't be simply rescued and returned straight to the ocean. They need to be rehabilitated and there are pens setup for this detailed at:

Latest very concerning developments.
Sep 8, 2015 — President Joko Widodo recently visited Wake and reports are that plans are in the making to build bigger pool on the land behind the resort with the government taking 40% stake (The Indonesian Government in action!)
This is setting a bad precedent and helping promote the captive dolphin industry.
There is also urgent need for an independent vet assessment by marine mammal experts as dolphins have cloudy eyes, bad skin irritation and are toothless.
Siti Nurbaya Bakar, the Environment Minister (She does not know the difference between her a ss and her elbow!), claims they are healthy, and the Director General (an other governmental genius!) has ordered that the half blind one to be replaced with a new one! Outrageous.
We need to keep up the pressure on the Indonesian government to get independent assessment, by signing the petition at:
