AUSTRALIA is among 47 countries Indonesia will add to its visa-free list as it strives to draw more tourists. MARITIME Coordinating Minister Rizal Ramli is quoted in Indonesian media on Tuesday saying he brought forward the move from January 2016 to October 2015 to capture the whole holiday season. I had to 'larf' at the JakPost report on the above (free VOA for Australians) as right below is an article confirming that Bali police did extort from Australian tourists in February. I can see the cartoonists having a field day. At first glance it would appear no connection until I remembered that the new National Director of Immigration was Bali's Chief of Police....in February.
