The head of Indonesia’s anti-drug agency (BNN) has announced a plan to construct a new prison, specifically for death row drug convicts, which would be guarded entirely by crocodiles.
BNN head Budi Waseso, the architect of the grand plan, announced at a public event in Jakarta that said he would soon being traveling throughout the archipelago in search of suitable crocodiles for the job.
“Tomorrow, I plan to go to Medan, Papua, and Sulawesi to look for these crocodiles and find the most aggressive ones…Crocodiles will not let the prisoners escape, the prisoners cannot convince them to. The crocodiles cannot be bribed,” explained Waseso.
The plan is still very much in the early stages of development with neither the location or potential opening date of the jail determined, but officials from the BNN are currently in discussions with the justice ministry to move the idea forward.
