Any advice for make Kitap?

Hi, I qualify for family Kitap, my wife is Balinese. I've been on family Kitas for the last years the 4th is now in procedure, next time I want to make a Kitap. My agent who does the Kitas asks 35 juta to make the Kitap. This sounds like a ridiculous price to me.. Any advice? Thx!

The spousal sponsored Kitas and Kitap doesn't need an agent....they can be DIY (do it yourself) and don't cost anything like 35 Juta. Search for 'spousal kitas Indonesia' and you'll get lots of hints on how to do the procedure. The multi entry-exit permit (MERP) is mandatory and, even though a Kitap is for 5 years, the MERP is only for 2 years and renewed.

My Kitas is due in November & Immigration keeps asking me to change to Kitap so this year I will bite the bullet & change. The price should be between Rp3,500,000-Rp4,000,000+ MERP, I will post the details as I go.

My advice: - give yourself plenty of time to apply. 6 months or so but it is likely to finished quicker than that - take the documents yourself to each department. there are some documents that need to get processed in Jakarta so either go yourself or ask someone to do it on your behalf. send the documents to the person by Tiki or similar service. - be prepared for an interview with you and your spouse. they typically ask dates like when you got married, spouse parent's names, birthdays etc. In the end it is fairly straightforward and you will probably ask yourself why you bothered asking an agent to do it.

That's the hard part I guess, finding ur way in Jakarta.. Thanks for the advice!

I always take my documents to Jakarta because it only takes 3days to process them. I hope the entire process will take 4-6 weeks if everything goes ok. It is a family Kitas/Kitap & The hope the interview will be easy, I will invite all the inlays around on that day.

I can only "acknowledge humor" when I see it but see my previous statement for clarification in this case. A bully? How am I being a bully? Picking on the weaker kids? I thought we all had the exact same equipment here: 1) computer/smartphone 2) a brain. Which one don't you have Dave?

There's a third availability on a forum as well...it's called attitude....and you have plenty! Your definition af bullying is different to wikipedia's which states... "[I]Bullying is the use of force, threat, or coercion to abuse, intimidate, or aggressively dominate others."[/I] One of the causes identified is...."[I]Bullying may also result from a genetic predisposition or a brain abnormality in the bully."[/I]:abnormal: It doesn't say the recipient of bully tactics is weak....it suggests the bully may [B]think[/B] the person he bullies is weak.
