Definitely a Mangrove snake Markit. I channeled my inner Steve Irwin (CRIKEY!) and he confirmed,
"Hava look at this gold banded mangrove snake, it's a beauty innit ? If ya get bit by one of these fella's ya can get a little crook but if youse leave 'em alone they'll be on their merry way. Their fangs are toward the back-end of their gobs and will strike ya if ya harass 'em but they won't kill ya.
I mean crikey, it's not like it's a stingray or sommink!".
