Have decided that I like it here so much I wanna live forever and to do that all you gotta do is give up beer, chasing women and start riding a bike.
I figure one out of three should give me another few years so I wanted to ask if there's anyone here got a half way decent mountain(ish) bike they'd give up cheap?
It should make chasing women easier and I can probably get a cooler(esky) on the back.

I agree with you. I walk to any 3 pubs in my area but....getting home...I use GOJEK. In future I might get them to take me there but...I'm a keep-fit afficionado...:cupcake:

I bought a new one like 3 years ago only cost 1,2 million,so at those prices i think its not worth looking for a used one,i had great intentions of what i was going to do,but i have to tell you for me it didn't work out,man its hard work, lost count of the times i took it to the bar and ended up calling a taxi to go home,wife would drop me off the next day and i would eventually make it home with the bike,i thought how hard can it be,like most people i had used bikes for years when i was YOUNG,,but the heat makes it really bad,by the time you make it to the bar you are so sweaty you find yourself looking for a quiet corner to sit because you know you stink of sweat,thats my experiences ,maybe works different for others,its a good bike i think some sort of mountain bike,has chunky type of wheels and i think 21 gears,its a good make too but cant remember that right now,i would gladly sell you the dam thing except im in Ny now and the bike is in Surabaya,so cant help you there sorry,

Geezzz Davita thank you for the Generous ??? offer,occasionally I do take it out and ride around the complex where we live while my son rides alongside on his bike,but no more adverterous trips to the bar,hell there are no bars in East Surabaya,and besides in a few years when my son gets bigger he will get plenty of use out of it,

Thanks for the gusto guys. My "plan" is to first have a go at cycling around Lombok and then (should I still be breathing)
Sumbawa or maybe another island.
Where it all may go wrong is I've got a Clog-flogger buddy (Dutch) and they're all born with a sprocket up their backsides who is instigating this next adventure.
Anyone cycled Lombok?

Can I suggest Davita that we take our mind numbingly boring conversation (and all others that result from our drunken orgy) offline or at the very least private.

I have two mates who cycle between Sanur and Ubud about 5 times a week. Maybe you should try that first before going off on this ridiculous plan to cycle across the ocean (as detailed by Davita).
Try shorter trips first up. Your clacker will hurt so much that it will remind you of your first sexual encounter.

Oh fey, oh fey! Far be it from me to cast any aspersions in your debased directions no.idea but my "clacker" had absolutely nothing to do with my first sexual experience - other than as interested observer.
I have no doubt knowing as many Roo-jumpers as I do that it's probably much more a group experience with your lot as you only see other humans (or similar) occasionally so the old "any port in a storm" holds true.

I checked Wiki but have not yet seen an update on 'clacker'. Is it imminent or were you just 'clacking' from the same hole no.idea suggested?
