Next weekend 25/8 Sanur Beach start at 8am. Probably the best view will be through the bottom of a small green bottle from the terrace of Sweet Magnolia Restaurant. Be there or be square.

It would appear that the wind is still blowing Tintin and the Balinese I met yesterday on the Merpati, Murunti, Megwunti or whatever the fecking beach's name is next to the Sweet Magnolia, told me there is a big meet there next Saturday. But if you have better in info in Boston I'm happy to be corrected :black_eyed:

The Sanur Village Festival takes place at the Inna Grand grounds between 24-28 August. There may be kites.I went last year but, like the Jazz by the Sea in Nusa Dua today, it was a bit hot as not much shade.

I just thought u were talking about THE Bali Kite Festival, which has been a yearly event for, well, as many years as I can remember (plus many more before my latest re-incarnation).:uncomfortableness:

That's probably one of the reasons I'm always alone - can't remember dates or days. Saturday sounds like a better deal - Sunday all Bali has off and is blocking up the roads.Anyone want to see some kites? See you tomorrow at Sweet Magnolia around 10ish. Cheers

I wii be there Sunday as i made plans already for saturday this morning.

Wow, these attempts to arrange a meet-up would barely rate 3 out of 10. :-(
Markit
Ron this isn't really a serious attempt at a Pod meeting but it was bandied about that everyone wants another one and since no one took up the baton and I was going to be in Sanur anyway I thought, why not? I'm not one for the big organizational meeting, impromptu is more my style and frankly I find the smaller get-togethers more interesting with maybe 4 or 5. That way everyone gets to talk to everyone and say or ask what interests them rather than go with the flow where ever it may lead as in the bigger crowds. Today I want to watch some kite flying, drink a few beers, eat some good food with friends and just enjoy being in paradise.

It all sounds good to me. I like beer and being stuck up girls in trees.

It all sounds good to me. I like beer and being stuck up girls in trees.
Last night, around 1am, I heard loud squeeling across from our house. On investigation it was a black female dog, on heat, stuck to a very large brown male...they were back to back and he was dragging her thru' the flooded sawa and she could easily have drowned. I tried throwing pebbles to no avail. In desperation I called a friend, who is a retired vet., for advice. He suggested he would call me back but I should put my ringer on high and get as close to the dogs as possible.I thought this odd and asked "Is this a recognized veterinarian remedy?""Fucked if I know' he replied 'but it just worked for me!".
