I'm looking to kit out my staff with some home mozzy nets and being a cheap-ass I refuse to pay the going Bule price to have them custom made - about 500k. Back in the day we went from Germany to Sri Lanka and were able to buy quite serviceable mozzy nets in Germany to take with us for around $3. After looking around Dumpassar and locally here in Karangasem and asking friends it would appear that there are no "local" mozzy nets.Can this be?One of our local friends says there is a scheme where by nets are handed out free to locals that can prove a need - for instance one of them has had Dengue fever, which is the situation in this case. Upon closer investigation we have found that that scheme was stopped and now Dengue sufferers get handed a can of bug spray, if they have any... surprise, surprise.

Hi Markit, Iam new to Bali and I am looking for mosquito nets as I really have trouble to sleep at night. I am a Buddhist, not able to use spray! Please kindly advise where I could get a cheaper mosquito nets.Thanks a lot.

That's exactly what I'm trying to find - with no luck till now I'm afraid. The best I have found is around the 500k Rupiah mark for a tailor made net. I'm told that there are cheaper ones in Kerbokan for around 80k but I'm not sure where...?

Guys, if you were discussing about the net for the beds, the Indonesian word is "kelambu", if you google that word, you'll find a lot of products available, just make sure you pick a reliable seller:icon_e_geek:
