hahaha...agreed. Maybe they can pay for this using the coins that students collected to re-imburse Australia's (AUD100 billion) contribution to the Aceh disaster, that has hurt Indonesia's national pride. OR...maybe they could use the money spent on this futile exercise to train a decent national football team...or subsidize anyone to compete in Olympics or any other International sporting event...maybe to even regain some pride in their badminton prowess.

Eleven death-row convicts including the two Bali Nine members, Chan and Sukumaran, are scheduled to be executed after President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo rejected their clemency requests. Torry said he had received an order from Indonesian Military commander Gen. Moeldoko to help secure the transfer of the Australian death-row convicts. “A squadron of Sukhoi fighter jets is ready to guard a Hercules aircraft that will transport the death-row convicts [to Nusakambangan]. Maybe the two prisoners planned to hijack the military plane taking them to Nusakambangan? Or one of their accomplices and stashed away on the plane 2 parachutes for their escape, so the planes would be there to shoot them on the way down? :icon_rolleyes:

You've chosen one to fit your narrow interpretation and derided another member because he used his word 'kill'. As dictionary.com says...both words are appropriate. It isn't one or the other. In the context of the death row prisoners...your word just has a more defined definition. An example...Your uncle is 'dead'. The victims in Utah are 'dead'. The 5 executed a couple of weeks ago are 'dead'. Your argument is 'dead'. The reasons for the deaths can be more accurately defined but DEAD is a general word that encompasses all....same as KILL. Right now I'd kill (execute) for a Bintang...:cupcake:

Thank you for the English lesson, Smoke, but I guess my choice of word went way above your head. The word "execute" used in your context is just an euphemism for "judicial murder," i.e. the taking of a human life under he cover of a barbaric law. But I guess it makes it more palatable for people like you to accept (don't worry, unfortunately you have company). I, for one, would rather call a cat a "cat"...
