Gurkha wroteSo you condone corruption?
bakung wroteI don't think it is a case of condoning it, the reality is that in the westernized society it is seen as a bad never to be done etc but here in paradise it is accepted as the Norm and 9/10 if you don't go with the " norm " you will end up on the road to nowhere slowly.
When in Rome, do as the Romans.
About 15 years ago the then German government, bowing to international pressure, enacted legislation banning the previous tax deduct-ability of expenses incurred in securing business in other countries through the payment of bribes - the only caveat on the original law, allowing bribery, was that it was illegal to pay off government officials - but only German government officials.
So to answer your question Gurkha, yep, I think like the German government, Lockheed, Mercedes, BMW, GEC, etc, etc, ad infinitum that it has it's place in modern society.
