Just heard that the event will be held on June 6 and 7 at Lapangan Chandra Buana ( town square) in Amlapura, Karangasem We went to this last year and it was wonderful - a complete day of Bali Pure - Balinese cooking competitions (we got to taste!) competitions in palm leaf cutting/weaving/flower arranging/dance/hell everything "Bali" etc, etc. We were the only Bule there and it was great being treated almost like visiting royalty. As usual in Bali nobody knows what it will be about this year and although we've been asking for weeks it's only now that they've come up with an opening date so make of that what you will - also they've refused to say what it will be about this year but only say that this year it won't have any competitions. One could say "bloody typical" as that was the best part but I won't whinge until it's happened.
