balinews It reportedly tastes beautiful and it is their best seller. But is the Bali Nine burger at Queensland's North Stradbroke Island's Fins n Fries in bad taste? Owner and head chef Cameron Tobin says "No way". "People have a bit of a laugh, but then I explain to them the theory behind it and tell them that there are nine ingredients on the burger," he said. "And the satay sauce is a Balinese style, hence the name, the Bali Nine." Mr Tobin admits the recent interest in the looming death penalties to be handed down to Bali Nine ringleaders, Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran, has prompted questions about the future of the Bali Nine burger at the Point Lookout cafe. "A lot of people say 'are you going to call it the Bali Seven in a couple of weeks time?'" he says. "Well, we will wait and see what happens because everything is on hold." Later he says he personally finds that suggestion, "distasteful". "But at the end of the day, if you do the crime, you do the time," Mr Tobin says. Bali Nine burger 'not in bad taste' | Stuff.co.nz
