I think something wrong with the forum since yesterday when it was down for maintenance. I previewed, prior to amending, and both the preview and the actual post were posted. I just noticed that Smoke's posts have been duplicated 3 times and, consequently, due to those duplicate posts, my notifications went up similarly. Also, I get a warning notice prior to the post being printed....not visible long enough to read.

Thanks admin...just for confirmation...was Balipod closed for maintenance yesterday or did I get a wrong message to that effect? I have a new internet modem so maybe the problem is at my end....but no problem with many other forums I subscribe to.

Thanks for the info....so I got the correct message. This is in way of a test....I'll edit info of any issue when I post. Edit: It didn't work on 'post quick reply' this is the message...'The following errors occurred with your submission This forum requires that you wait 30 seconds between posts. Please try again in 29 seconds.' I didn't click but waited and nothing happened. I then closed balipod and reopened and the above, pre-edit, appeared as if normal.

Thanks admin. edit: now sends same error message but with your new times. (This forum requires that you wait 5 seconds between posts. Please try again in 3 seconds) but when I wait nothing happens. I'll wait to see if others have similar problems as I note many members had double posts since yesterday. If I were to re-post reply, as suggested by the 'error message', I think that it would also double post. Instead, I logged OFF Balipod and On again and saw that my post [B]was[/B] posted, even though the error message asked me to re-post.

Thanks admin...I made my first post since you disabled that feature and it posted normal....the same as before the maintenance session. Edit: this one also normal.

Agree with Markit....it would be useful to click on activity, then the thread, and get to the last post. e.g. Just now I clicked on activity, then this thread, which took me to page 1...so I had to click on page 2......then scroll to the end to get to the last post.

What a brilliant concept...click 'What's New' and all the the new posts since my last visit appear...it's fecking magic....all my years of studying 'Dinosaurus Rex' have come to no avail...nuttin'....compared to this latest revelation... :icon_e_biggrin: I read somewhere that IT was your profession, if so, I hope you taught everyone about this amazing information technology....:icon_e_geek: I wonder if turning a door knob will open a door...now that would be an incredible perception to behold...:icon_rolleyes:

Since you are here fairly regularly (understatement for fairness) why would you use the activity button which, as you said, only gives you the activity (duh?!) and not the new(s) additions to threads? I would be shocked and amazed to hear that you don't automatically open every new thread that comes along (presuming it's not in Swahili)? I only used the activity button for the first time right now to see what it did but am willing to learn...

Different strokes for different folks.... I get email from Balipod, and other forums, if anyone posts anything new on threads I have interest. There are currently 4 threads that I haven't opened here....one's from you...as it's in German!:apathy: I use both 'whats new' and 'activity'....which DOES show anything new, even on threads I have no interest/contribution, or just want to re-read. I thought to promote your idea as activity does need to change pages and scroll a lot. I agreed a button to go to the last post a good idea....my bad...no bigee!:indecisiveness:
