Not sure about Indonesian Air Asia's maintenance contract but Air Asia Berhad has a contract to service/maintain their A320's with Singapore Technologies Aerospace Ltd. It's possible the flag painting was done at Changi in Singapore.

When there isn't anything of value......I usually let it fly straight over. I only catch worthy items.....like debunking myths and emphasizing truths.....:icon_idea:

Thanks for sharing that - after the first paragraph it was clear that it must be an Ozzy doing the writing as they were obsessed with trashing Indonesia. After mentioning all the bad stuff about Indonesian air safety and the bad record of Air Asia (lost it's first plane ever a couple days ago) the article at no time mentions that Air Asia isn't a fecking Indo company but a Malaysian one!
If you are concerned about air safety and want a little more truth with you bull**** try this article - I love the bit about thousands dying on the roads in US that stopped flying cause it was so "dangerous" and they were such pussies.

There's no confusion....I'm very familiar with satire, wit and 'taking the piss'.
I read Shakespeare at school but beginning to believe you epitomize this form of humor better than he...and I mean that in a kind way...:icon_wink:
Cannot wait to read your sonnet of 'Tragedy....Truth or Myth?'.....but realize you may not have time to write given you're still on honeymoon.....and the children need to be fed...:icon_rolleyes:

The Guardian was formerly known as "The Manchester Guardian", and I don't think that Manchester has been moved to the US. But check with Rangi, as he is an authority on things like this.

Maybe you need to read the thread more carefully and then comment.
The original story was linked to the NY times. This was the article Markit referred to as being written by Australians in which Squarepeg shared that he believes they are Americans.
Glad to be able to help you there Mugwump.

OP posted link from NY Times, not the Guardian. Careful, you want to maintain your "voice of reason and accuracy" persona so you can keep firing shots at Rangi's postings of differing opinions.

I posted the original article by the NY Times, Markit decided it was authored by Australians. I didn't disagree because as we here have all learned, Markit is never wrong.

Damn if it isn't disgusting to argue with people that require accuracy! What is the world coming to? Mea culpa!

Thanks...ronb but do you have an independant opinion..... I'd be delighted to hear...otherwise, in other words, it seems you're simply repeating my observation.
