Hi all, I am still new on the forum and figuring it out as I write....Few days ago, I found a thread about shipping containers, however haven't found it back and impatient as I am, I decided for this way, so here is the question; I am looking for 20ft used 60%, 70% in good state USED shipping containers here in Bali....in case my gut-feeling that there aren't any for sale in Bali is fact, am looking for good supplier closest from Bali, which would be Surabaya, any suggestions anybody? As you have anticipated there probably aren't any containers (ay least leak proof) available in Bali. Most shippers must have them sent from S'baya and trucked back for overseas shipping. S'baya probably won't have much surplus since from what I understand they still export more than they import.
If this is true consider the cost of purchase and empty shipment from Australia. It may sound crazy but I remember when you could buy a good usable 20'r for 800. dollars US.(no dollar sign on my computer)

Many containers go back empty from Surabaya to China. Typically they are for sale. Around $1500 plus $400 shipping from Surabaya to Bali.

Many containers go back from the whole world to China. You can usually get really cheap rates on one - but only back to China.

I paid US fifteen hundred dollars seven years ago to ship a forty footer from S'baya. by truck.

I should have clarified that was the trucking charge, not the purchase price.
