Hello All, Im told that you can hire Agents in Bali to get leads/Or even Customers for your Business as long as it is a tourist related business? Im interested to know More... kindest regards

Ask any resto or hotel owner - they pay between 10 and 20% commission on the bill to drivers or agents bringing them customers. For "agent" read travel agent. I used to automatically ask for a 20% rebate on my bill as I came in without a driver but largely can't be assed anymore.

The agritourist places in Ubud pay 50% commission to the drivers. Found this out when our honest Balinese driver/friend handed us back his 'commission'...

Oh I dunno Marky, we had a driver who only tried to rob us about 90% of the time, guess that makes him 'honest' by Balinese satndards.

Maybe Iris means does the commission system only apply to tourist businesses. The answer is no. It applies to almost everything here and someone here even mentioned once they were offered commission by a hospital - I hope they were joking.

'Hospital Commission' ? That works for me, I can do Caesarean Section and throw in an Appendectomy at half price whilst I am rummaging in the same locale. I also do a neat Castration for free as I class that as 'relaxation'.

Have you tried the Oz method of biting them off? They tend to just do it on sheep but I've seen some of the their women folk looking interested in my direction...

Well, in my opinion, it's a fair thing that you got something by giving something, in this case you got customer by just giving them a little commission, it happens everywhere and on any business, but I hope it doesn't go to that silly-hospital-commission
