Cannot find the old threads on this subject so started new to update. I know some info is repeat but just to clarify.
We received our 4th Retirement Kitas today and it does differ from before.
1. There is only one stamp in the passport which is 'limited stay and re-entry' and they coincide on the same day and not, as before, where the re-entry was always one month early. This is good.
2. The Kitas itself is of the old variety, not a plastic credit card type, but simple paper. It is not an e-card and has no readable biometrics.
3. What is new is the Kitas now states where the original ITAS/date/reference was issued....i.e. my case Singapore.
edit. Forgot...the blue book was returned as sent...nothing stamped or added. Our agent says they will not be issued any more but we should still keep these old ones.
