Dear all,is it possible to buy a good (!) respiratory mask in Bali? With replacement filters etc...traffic is getting more & more terrible these days.Took the motorbike yesterday, driving around & problems to breath today :( stuck 5 minutes behind a car on the sunset who believed it'd make sense to drive in the most left, there was only one meter space, his car at least 1.7 meter; hundreds on motorbikes behind him and nobody but me honked? Come on! He stayed there, f'ing moron! Many of them NEVER think....big bus with broken exhaust in the right...my face, legs & arms were black.BTW looks like the Swiss Grand Bali in Nusa Dua was / is on fire today...Thanks!

do you mean those surgical masks ?Those ones they sell at apoteks and I've been told at Indomaret too.

Thanks Gil, no not really surgical mask, they don't really work good but more like masks they wear on project sites (in western countries), for particulate matter reduction. I heard they do work in traffic :)

masksIn your favourite toolshop you can no doubt buy facemasks with cartridges that can be changed, one on each side,so you need two extra spare cartridges for change. It is the kind that is used at places where they spray cars,if the boss is a nice guy.

Hi Marc,I have bought some of the masks with the replaceable cartridges that have been spoken of from Ace Hardware in Kuta Galleria. From memory the mask was around 30k and the cartridges around 5k. Not sure how they would go for traffic pollution but they certainly work fine for construction dust and particulates (sawdust, plaster dust etc).
