My US website provider is offering a particularly economical spring special at $23.88 for a full years hosting with all the usual goodies. I'm not sure if there is a "gotcha" in the offer as have not looked too closely but if anyone is interested PM me.Only till the 28th of April!

still havent embarked upon the web site building yet - some unexpected (??) delays in our final fit-off for the villas are hampering things.thanks to all for the offers of assistance - ive passed on details to partners in the business and shown them the websites indicated.were tied up with a few (hopefully) small loose ends of the final fit out and will be waiting until buildings are finished completely first and fully landscaped before having photos done and getting someone to put the site together (as suggested).Hinakos

If I were you I would consider getting some SEO input early on. Most devs think they know enough to optimize a site themselves. They don't. Especially the cheap ones. I've run a number of successful sites in the past, and a number of dogs lol. Can't say which I learnt more from.

+1 for the advice from caravan. As you are just starting out, you are in a great position to build your site with SEO compatibility from the ground up. Trying to "re-seo" a site that has already been indexed can potentially send the wrong signals to Google if you're not careful. They are actively looking for people who try to game the system.I'd recommend getting a company that specializes in SEO to design you a custom WP or Joomla template from scratch. Drupal is another option, albeit more complicated for you to manage in-house in the long run.

The majority of Wordpress templates are seo friendly already, don't waste your money having one created from scratch. Unless your template is a freebie and full of spammy links it will make little to no difference at all. There are 4 wordpress seo plugins that are recommended and they are all free and can be installed on any theme in a matter of minutes. Ranking your website high in google for key words is all about high PR back links and original content, your template has very little to do with it,For SEO I would recommend you target key words that you'll at least have a chance of ranking highly for. Don't even bother with key words like "Bali Villa" it will never happen, to much competition. Go for something like "Legian Villa for rent" or where ever it is that you're building. Some thing along those linesSaying all this though I would be looking at where you're planning to market your villas first before you start thinking about SEO, if you're advertising on websites like Flip Key or Agoda only you won't even need it.

. Having the same h1 tag on every page wastes a lot of opportunities to tell Google important information about specific pages. Also, nearly every "free" template has footer backlinks. Having h1 tags on all pages make very little difference to your rankings. Having something designed from scratch could cost you more than 20 times the price of a theme, not only that but you'd have to find someone here you could actual trust to do it right the first time... and what happens when google changes its algorithms.. redesign?. A paid theme ($20 to $100) will state when you buy it that it is SEO friendly anyway, and even if it isn't fully SEO friendly small things like h1 tags can easily be changed in any wordpress theme, it can even be done through the admin. This is sound advice, but the internal linking architecture has a LOT to do with how Google evaluates the importance of individual pages as well. This was one of the plugins that I would recommend along with xml site maps and all in one seo pack. Obviously there is a lot more to SEO than adding a few plugins though. I Agree with you on the back links. they need to be relevant.Meh, probably not as a direct booking platform, but it does tell customers about your brand if you don't have a website.
