For those looking for something to liven up a dull prelude to Nyepi I can recommend the bi-annual Terteran(flame wars) TERTERAN (flames war tradition): Terteran at Jasri Village in Jasri by Amlapura on the evening of March 11th. They are really quite spectacular and a damned good excuse to drink loads of Bintang (should an excuse be needed).Be warned that if you are traveling back to anywhere afterwards be prepared for a long drive as the yearly Ogah-ogah celebrations are also in full swing in most villages along the way. But that's all part of the fun isn't it!!
