Hi does anyone know of a lady called Anna who helps new Expats find properties ( Villa ) to rent long term. We are moving to Bali as soon as we can find a Villa to rent we have two children and my husband is a fly in fly out worker. I read a blog many months ago and remember a lady who helped new expats. I am flying in on the 30th August and would love to deal with owners of properties rather than Real Estates the prices seem really high. I live in Perth and our rents are huge but the Bali rents on the Real Estate sites are just as high.

Commissions are just the way things are done here. Anna might not be a property agent, but you can be sure she will be getting her cut. Prices are only on the increase and nicer villas can be rented out on a nightly basis, which also push prices up.

You have to hunt around, no short cuts.
Rent something for 3 months, even if you are paying a little more for it, just use the time to find what you want and where etc.
