A friend asked me to list his 2 new-build Balinese houses for long term rental (minimum 1 year) in Sanur. They are between Bali Deli/US Embassy and about 1klick from the ocean in Sanur/Renon. Both houses have just been completed and are in a small development in the middle of rice fields. Built in that quirky Balinese style we don't understand - you need to see them. Good build quality but small by western standards and both houses are next door to each other so a big family could get them both. House 1 is a 3 bedroom single story renting for 65 million a year (owner will probably go down 2 or 3 million).House 2 is a 4 bedroom double story renting for 105 million a year (again owner will go down some if you are quick).Contact/pm me and I will pass you along to him - I work for cheese (Cheddar or a nice Gouda washed down with a cheap scotch please)

Hey Sammy what can I tell you? They are new, in Sanur/Renon between the beach and Bali Cafe with rice fields around ie not yet built up around. Price you know if you want to go have a look and chat with the owner I will put you 2 in touch? Just tell me when is convenient for you. Markit

Well!First things first... If the house is obtained through you... Specifically how much cheese would you require as payment? I could see myself parting with a block or 2 but couldn't afford to (for example), import a container of matured cheddar...What sort of power are the houses running on? Are there aircons installed? If so how many? Is there just the one bathroom or 2? Shower, bath or both? Kitchen has gas or electric? Oven? Cooktop? Are there any furnishings at all? A fridge perhaps? Is internet connectivity an issue? Just all that kinda info :P Will be back over on the island in i believe 2-3 weeks so would be wanting to inspect then shake hands and move in around then. Thanks mate

Oh and i'm interested in the 3 bedroom house :)

AS sorry this is all more than I know and best discussed with the owner as it will be a bargaining point - ie "What no AC??!!" that's 2 million less right there sort of thing don'tcha think?A well aged cheddar would be very appreciated - not necessary though as I will probably get some sort of commission out of the owner - probably a Balinese cow so I can make my own haha. Have a look in 3 weeks and see what you think. They are nice new Balinese built style houses - if you understand what that means then you will know that for the western mind they are idiosyncratic - put diplomatically. Rooms strange sizes and shapes and put in weird places. Kitchen is small (pictured?) but who wants to cook here?Talk to the man. Om SwastiastuMark

No AC?!" recently int he hopes of getting the rent lowered but it didn't work in that instance :PPersonally believe it or not i don't mind having no AC in Bali... My friend and his partner who are coming with me on the other hand... :/An appreciated gesture i believe is often better than a necessary payment... If i manage to get the place for a good price a nice big block of vintage cheddar you shall have :)And yeah i actually really dig the Balinese style houses lol.I'll let you know when we have an exact date so we can arrange further :)

Hi Ken, I am looking for a long-term 'home' rental. My last house in Thailand I leased for 5 years. Thanks for asking!
