osully71 We are a professional couple looking for a 6 month house sit or rental in the Seminyak or Legian areas. There are a lot of villas out there but many are overpriced. We are prepared to pay mid range budget but would like a clean villa/apartment with outdoor living and good wifi. Does anyone know of any available. Thanks
samsiam Overpriced to buggery they are....I been looking myself intently last few weeks, not easy to find.
matsaleh If you have a Facebook page, here's a few real estate pages. Sometimes there are bargains, but you need to grab them quickly. https://www.facebook.com/groups/bali.rent/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/longtermrentalsbali/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/179189038903917/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/345470402201472/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/231171780241689/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/430602286977843/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/1380848555535084/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/255134511230469 https://www.facebook.com/groups/210648169087832/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/YourVillaCo/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/182010675197366/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/579465438768922/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/balistay/
Markit Best thing is to just get here and look around - I was in Ubud today and there are listings all over - entrance of Dewata shopping center, outside the post office, telephone poles, etc. Also good is the Bali Advertiser and Farcebook.
Markit Guys this isn't a "normal" housing market but a holiday market - villas are holiday rentals, some going for 500/1000 dollars US per night and more! Not sure why you think there should be reasonable villa offers with that kind of market pressure on but in a word: forget it. You want to rent something nice and reasonable, go to Buttfuck, Idaho. You want to live in Bali, pay for the pleasure.
