Has anyone tried the Bali Moon Vodka? I have heard that it is OK as well as a good price point,approx. 180,000rp(750ml). As that price is more than 50% cheaper than the Smirnoff, I would be interested in a personal review. I have six bottles...sorry 5, as we drank one last night. My friends drink it with tonic but I've tried it straight from the freezer as a shot..... and it is smooth.Its made from fermented sugar cane and water from Mt Batukaru and filtered 9 times...hence the name.I'm not really a vodka drinker....beer and red wine are my choice but many of my mates in our local pub in Kerobokan, who are professional drinkers, have all turned to drink 9.I've seen it on the shelves in Carrefour...btw the bottles, strangely, are only 700 ml. but has the same alc/vol content as Absolut at 40%.Highly recommended!

I see Absolut in Carrefour and Hypermet at over Rp 600,000.I predict this Vodka 9 will sell well.

I bought the Black Tea variety at a supposed 40% alcohol and in addition to the shitty taste, am absolutely shocked that this stuff is the above-mentioned alcohol content. I guess it is fairly new to the market..... I've seen it on the shelf in Carrefour and they sell it, by the shot, in The Plumbers Arms in Jl. Semer, Kerobokan.

I went to a wine shop in Sanur (CV. Putra Agung), and after purchasing wine asked for Bali Moon. Only recalling the email from memory, thought (foolishly) that the clerk had provided my request. The requested booze did come in a tall slender, clear bottle of 700ml. claiming 40%,but there the likeness fades. Even in the fine print there is no mention of Bali Moon, only the word vodka and the name Vibe. Buyer beware! This shit is pure fabrication.Thanks for the clarification and sorry for my error. My pursuit for the genuine article will continue (your description carefully written on my grocery list.

No problems mugwump...I could have been more specific as I've also since noticed many other varieties of Bali Moon liquor, and I understand they [B]are[/B] crap. My comment is specific to this new product called 9. If you can buy for under Rp200,000, or Rp30,000 a shot in the Plumbers pub, I recommend a try and, as Markit said...best if kept in the freezer. Others have since told me that mixed with tonic, it is a required taste. I only tried it neat, nearly frozen or with a cube of ice, and it was smooth.I should add that the Echo Beach Restaurant...the last one on the left "No Shirt, no Sandals, no Problem!" sells (vodka 9) in a slushy. I had a bit of a hangover Sunday brunch so only drank beer...a vodka slushy didn't turn my crank and could have sent me to see 'Hughieeee!'

Have tried a number of bottles,i am talking 500ml byself,nice and clean. Morning hangover,clean.Best bang for your buck in the spirit world on this island!!!!
