Hi All,I am looking to ship my furniture and other household items from Singapore to Bali.Everything is currently in storage with another Singapore-based removals company. They have provided what seems a very high quote of USD$3,800 because they need to ship via Surabaya and then on-freight from there. Is this correct? Is there another way, can you ship directly to Bali? Can anyone give me any advice please? Many thanks, much appreciated.Mark

I believe all container transport comes into Bali or goes out via Surabaya that what you have been quoted does seem heavy as you can ship a container back to uk for about the same price. I would suggest you get some more quotes try using just a freight company instead of a removals company.

Gotta say there's a huge difference in shipping something TO the UK and TO Bali. Unless you have a work Kitas there's duty to pay and that's like the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy Improbability Drive - based on no sensible or rational guideline.
