Any chance of changing it into a tradeable commodity, a dirty big fat gold chain for example?Or a currency with high denomination notes? Euro's come in 500's I believe. Not so much physical volume to carry then and perhaps a way to slide a bit more past Customs.

I was referring to the 'usual' 10K that get's reported, I have been told by several parties (people at the bank in NL and people at the banks in the US) that this 10K-rule has been lowered to 5K..By the way, here too no worries about 'funny' money :D

Gold or diamand rings, necklaces etc. Jewellers in Oz(and everywhere im sure) now have to report and file (tax) all transactions too.And you have to show ID for large sales.So you lose a bit converting the original cash to jewellery, then you get it through no prob, but still gotta convert it back, lose again, and then it gets noted by the jewlleer anyway. Unless you go to a dirty jeweller, and they pay way less.

Markit, even though i have met the owner of the forum, when i registered ( i checked ) there was no metion of my real name or address, only email address and user name and password. Of all the people on the forum (and i have met quite a few ) the is only one who could possibly be able to track me down , and he and i went to school together. Maybe Oz different to USA/NL too.

I think he annoyed everyone on this forum until the point that Bert made his name public. It appeared to be someone who had survived the Bali bom in Legian. Again, I said "I think" and it is quite a while ago but I think I remember this correct.

Guys I don't walk around with $10k in my pocket (wish I could) and I have yet to hear of anyone snatching a villa. Having been the victim of a "snatch" I gotta tell you it's one of the easiest thefts going. Distract the punter and away it goes - takes about 2 seconds and if there are 3 (usually) of them you will never know where it went even if you "see" it go. No knives or guns necessary.

The fact that I remember it was an Australian poster that was a survivor of the Bali bom who was moaning about how people who advertise in the Bali Advertizer falsely promote their products was exposed by Bert says enough about how pretty sure I am. Why would I make this up anyway?
