Price of land in Sideman

Can anyone please advise me on the price of leasing land in Sideman for 25 years

I actually know of an almost complete villa that's going for a song - how do they call it from a "motivated seller" in realestatese. This place is freehold near Talibun (sp?) I can put you in touch with the Ozzy seller if you want? She comes on this forum often so she may get in touch herself. As to land prices or lease prices - no clue. How long is a piece of string? Depends upon the 3Ls Location, loca....

How do you compare a 25 year lease price with a freehold price? I have been interested in this since many offerings around Ubud are long leases. I think the 25 year lease should be maybe 40% of the freehold price. Anyone got a rule of thumb for comparing lease with freehold? As for Sideman, I can find very few on-line listings with prices. So after seeing only 2 or 3, I get a first impression that land could be 50-100 million per are. So the 25 year lease could be 20-40 million per are. But you need to find more land for sale to get a better idea. If they are not on-line it will require local enquiries to find the prices.

Check out your geography - north of Amed is Malaysia. Sideman is north of Candi Dasa (ish) and Semlapura/Klungkung (ish) and south of Selat.

I think she means Amed in Bali...is there another? and everything north of Bali is Kalimantan.

If you look north of Amed you should see lots of blue - that's ocean.

I've been retained by Markit (for 30% of the half-round of Edam that he is going to win) to represent him in this case. So, due north of Bali is an island called Borneo, of which 26.4% are occupied by the Malaysian Provinces of Sarawak and Sabah, and the Malaysian Federal Territory of Labuan. Using that logic you could say due north of anywhere is the North Pole...of course that eliminates many countries to pass before you get there....sorry.....makes no sense.:icon_rolleyes: Due north from Bali is the Java Sea, then Kalimantan is the first landfall, which, on top of Mt Agung in Bali with a good telescope can probably be seen on a clear day. North of Kalimantan the border changes to East Malaysia and Brunei. Labuan is another island. Neither are close to Bali and can only be seen from Bali using Google Earth. The bet was God was going to move Malaysia directly north from Amed so first stop landfall would be Malaysia...I'm still running down the 12 hours for this event.:icon_cool:

There may be other countries north of Bali, but my client chose to single out one of them, Malaysia. Malaysia being certainly located north of Bali, I believe my client is correct. :drunk:

Should have been more concise. Isn't Tulamben ( which is where you said the Aussie woman is selling her near completed villa for a song) is north of Amed? I wanted some opinions of land lease prices in Sideman, been there for last few weeks and was interested in land with good aspect of Mt Agung

Ahhhh! My bad - the place I was trying to spell in the original answer was Talibeng (Google map this:Talibeng, Sidemen, Bali, Indonesia ). The place ur all on about is Tulamben aka North Bali. Thanks for the support Tintin but I'm kinda hesitant to invite a French Surrender Monkey for a cheese and wine evening in Bali as all three would be transplants and any one could easily be rejected, dooming the host.

Davita I'm gonna be a little anal here (we are talking about cheese!) Since Alzheimers could possible also be in play here too I want to refresh your memory, my exact statement was: [SIZE=5]Check out your geography - north of Amed is Malaysia.[/SIZE] What is incorrect in this? If you go far enough in a northern direction from Amed you will get too Malaysia. You will also get to China and then Russian after passing through Mongolia. Nobody mentioned "first landfall" except you. Do I hear your chain rattling from all that back-pedalling? None of this changes the truthfulness of the original statement does it? Where can I pick up my cheese? Do you deliver? I'll share (a little).

@ Sally1...good luck with finding that villa Markit is giving directions to locate...might be a long day...I suggest you bring a GPS oh and better bring your passport:eagerness:

Like I said good luck but...in case your faith is correct and you're heading north from Amed today...better take some Malaysian Ringgits to buy lunch...Oh!..No! Wrong!.....bring plenty food and water with you coz by the time you cross the border from Kalimantan into East Malaysia it will be Tuesday or Wednesday.....:icon_biggrin: Frankly Sally1, I'd trust the geographic instincts you showed before Markit told you to 'check out your geography'.
