Stupid question perhaps but if you require all these things for a "good life" why do you want to spend it in Bali? I mean if they are that important to you and your well being why don't you go where they are readily available? Funny thing is objectively I would love most of the things on your list but having done without for some time I've found them not to be really very important after all - maybe if you spent some time learning to love Nasi Goreng and all its permutations you would be happier than trying to form the Balinese world to your "needs" and doing unhappily without most of them?[/QUOTE]No, I don't want to spend my life in Bali, I am here to work on around 1 year project which is not connected with almost nothing on the surface. I just like food so that's why I ask where to get it. Yes, I came a bit unprepared and expected that Bali will much more developed considering tha large group of expats living there. For me it's hard to understand, why the food here is so mediocre in comparison to surrounding countries, where I spent part of my live and never be tempted even to cook by myself (I must be insane to do it) - but here in Bali it is different.Your last statement sounds me more like resignation than celebration of paradise. But of course, I am here for short time...
